Week 29: January 27, 2013

Serafina, Edison & Giuliana are 29 weeks today. 

Edison had surgery this week to repair a hernia (very common in preemie little boys). This was the first surgery any of the kiddos have had. He stayed over night in the Hospital just as a precaution, but did really well and quickly went back to his usual self flirting with his nurses. Happily, no icky hospital germs were brought home. 

Oatmeal is a super favorite of all three now. Maybe this is helping with their consistent sleeping through the night. 

Teething is now upon us with all kids complete with fussiness, drooling, hands in mouth... all the joys times three. I wonder what our neighbors think is going on over here, it gets a little loud.

Week 28: January 20, 2013

Edison, Serafina & Giuliana are 28 weeks old today.

Another great week in our house. The kiddos slept 12 hours for the first time.

 We were all able to get out and enjoy some sunshine at Helen Putnam Park. I had forgotten the grade of the hills, with the triple stroller it makes for a whole new dimension of a work out.

We're not totally sure but we think one of the babies may be starting to get in a tooth.

 Wanted to share what a day of bottles looks like for the bambinos. They eat 6 times a day, so we make and clean 18 bottles a day plus all pumping supplies. Couldn't imagine doing it without a dishwasher!

27 Weeks Old: January 13, 2013

Giuliana, Serafina & Edison are 27 weeks old today.

The babies continue to do really well sleeping, generally they do at least one 9 hour block a night. Very nice for all. 

We are continuing to offer Oatmeal and reactions are gradually becoming more positive. Yesterday Giuliana seemed to like it and actively be interested in eating more for the first time (pretty cute). Edison is interested. Serafina is still not hooked on the idea.

6 months old! January 8, 2013

Happy Half Birthday to Edison, Giuliana and Serafina!

Time flies! The trio turned 6 months old yesterday. 

They are doing fantastic and have come so far in their first six months. 

At their Pediatrician appointment Monday we got weight and length updates:

Serafina 13lb 5oz 1ft 11in
Giuliana 17lb 7oz 2ft
Edison 17lb 3oz 1ft 11in

Lots of firsts recently! Solid Food (Organic Oatmeal) and Bumbo Seats have all been tried with mixed results but we will stick with both. 

I have not been great about replying to email lately. Friends who have wanted to visit the kids, if I haven't yet replied to you, we are in RSV/Flu Season lock down and aren't able to welcome visitors until April. We look forward to having visitors again in the Spring.

Our New Year's Eve was a bit different from last year. Matt and I enjoyed an evening at home with the kiddos and watched the New York feed for the countdown. We had a good time and watched the Rose Parade in the morning.

There is a two minute video up of the trio "sitting" on the couch. Nothing happens so this one is directed at Grandparents. They can't actually balance by themselves yet, we just kind of propped them up and they stayed for a bit. One of these days they'll be able to do it for real.
