18 Weeks Old: November 11, 2012 - Smiles

Edison, Giuliana & Serafina are 18 weeks old (5 weeks adjusted).
Thank you Aunt Kay & Uncle Wayne for the cutest embroidered shirts!

Lizzie has always been a smiley baby, but now Gigi and Eddie are also smiling and they are all smiling more interactively. Very Cute!

Grandma Kelly visited and got to spend some quality time with the bambinos.

Triplet Table Painting. The Papsans attach on top.
This week the kiddos got their very own custom triplet table. Matt made the table and I painted it for them (currently with trees, giraffe and elephant but will be adding three little monkeys another day). After feeding all three on the floor a few times, it became clear a table was the way to go- so much easier to manage especially when I am pumping while feeding! Their Baby Papasan's are safely secured and eventually holes will be cut out to hold seat belt chairs for solid food feeds.
Nap time is a work in progress. At least once a day we move them into their room for naps. Our awesome Summer Infant baby monitor comes in very handy and can even be plugged in to our TV for an even bigger view. Eddie is not so sure about napping in their room but we're hopeful he will come around soon. One of these days we will be moving them out of Mommy & Daddy's room at night.
Everyone received their first monthly Synagis shots to combat RSV. Those suckers would be about $1000 a pop without insurance. Thankfully Kaiser supports Synagis use for ex-preemies. Matt and I are getting into our cold prevention routine: lots of EmergenC, hand washing, hand sanitizer when out and about, changing shirts when we come home and not taking the kiddos out. We are also super careful not to expose ourselves to anyone with a cold, sniffles or worse. Hopefully that will be enough to get us through this first season without the kids getting too sick.

  1. LOVELY! And the final picture made my heart jump: Emily loves her pillows.... a girl after my own heart.
Matt did such a great job on the table, and love the paintings on it.
These wonderful little people are amazing to watch, and we can't tell you enough how much we love the blog. Thanks kiddos. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
